How a testing round works

A developer publishes an approved app, then opens joining and shares a short link. People sign in with the same Google account they use on their phone and join the app.

When at least 14 people are currently joined, the developer starts the round. Starting locks the tester list, expires the join link, and prepares the Play Console CSV.

Stopping the round also expires the link. People who join while the round is still open are included. People who arrive after it starts are not added to that list.
